George M. Goldston Jr., LMFT, he/him/his

    Hi, I’m George.

Together, we will walk side by side into the wilderness. Step by step we will unearth each mysterious part of what contributes to your uncomfortable experiences. The environment will be warm and safe with some humor thrown in here and there for comic relief. Your nervous system will relax into calming space, and you will know it is okay to share your vulnerabilities.

I think you’ll be surprised how you can create a balance of making light of the hard stuff while also acknowledging the immense weight it is putting on you.  And find a way to be more in control of your states of mind long term. Working with me, you will gain new insights, learn practical tools, change your perspectives, and have a few laughs along the way.

Over our time together, you’ll notice your anxiety go from 100 to a 10.  Your confidence in yourself will grow. And you’ll begin to wonder why you didn’t seek out therapy sooner!

In the modern world it is normal to have a lot of things going on that can make life a drag. Stuckness, stagnancy and misery will continue to be your norm.  Or you can choose to work towards bright and shinny hope.

I’ve walked a day in your shoes.

I’ve had my own experiences with homophobia, anxiety, attention problems and relationship conflict. My mission is to help you gain the tools, skills and perspectives to live an authentic life you’re proud of.

Throughout the years, I’ve gotten overwhelmed, tired and stuck. What made the difference is learning techniques and new ways of looking at things that helped me have better communication, less anxiety, better focus, and acceptance of myself.

I want to get you there too.

I realized if I did nothing to change things, I would continue to struggle, suffer and ultimately miss out on living a fully authentic life.  I’m now living a hopeful and authentic life most of the time.

My mission lead me to getting my Masters in Marriage, Couple and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Additionally, I have certificates in Ecopsychology and Intercultural Communication. I also bring to the table my lived experience as a human, just like you.

I currently live on Johns Island with my partner and pup, Coco. In my free time I love to read, go to trivia, have game nights with friends, go on walks outside, and watch reality tv. I’m passionate about mental well-being and want to help you increase yours!
